WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Confluence of States, a nonpartisan coalition of state outdoor recreation leaders, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Hannah Wintucky as its new Manager.
Hannah has worked alongside the Confluence and its member states since 2022, supporting coalition engagement, policy coordination, and partnership development. She brings experience in communications, coalition management, rural economic development, local government, and nonprofit leadership, as well as longstanding relationships across the outdoor recreation community.
As Manager, Hannah will support the Confluence’s operations, communications, partnerships, and convenings while working closely with state directors and partners to strengthen collaboration and elevate the impact of state outdoor recreation offices nationwide.
Most recently, Hannah served as the Government Affairs and Advocacy Manager at Outdoor Industry Association (OIA), where she led federal and state policy engagement on issues related to public lands, outdoor recreation, natural resources, sustainability, and trade. In her role, she worked closely with state offices of outdoor recreation, industry leaders, nonprofit partners, and government stakeholders across the country to advance shared priorities and strengthen collaboration across the outdoor recreation economy.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to step into this role and continue supporting the incredible work of the Confluence of States,” said Hannah. “What makes the Confluence special is the openness of states to learn from one another while still leading in ways that make sense for their own communities. I’m excited to support that collaboration and help continue growing the organization’s impact nationwide.”
“The Confluence of States is delighted that Hannah is joining our 22-state bipartisan coalition in this central and empowered role,” said Nathan Reigner, Chair of the Confluence of States and Directory of the Pennsylvania Office of Outdoor Recreation. “As a seasoned outdoor industry professional, Hannah’s insight, experience, and energy will help the Confluence grow, elevating the many models of success from our states and driving forward outdoor recreation for the benefit of our economies, communities, environments, and health.”
The Confluence of States is nonpartisan coalition developing a national platform to grow the outdoor recreation industry, protect our nation's wild places, and transform conservation into a driver for economic prosperity.
